I totally stole this picture from Twitter (with lots of love and reverence XD, also I asked beforehand so it’s not really stealing) but aaahh! It’s here and it’s real guys! My @Womanthology:Space #2 covers, published by IDW! The purple one on the left is the regular cover, and the one of the right is the variant cover. Both have friendly aliens with tentacles. It was part of the project brief. Also tentacular aliens are great when they’re friendly.
More details of the comic can be seen here and more photos of the cover (as well as concept sketches) are here!

Market Monday
Womanthology: Space #2, stories by Blair Butler & Alicia Fernandez, Joelle Sellner & Jean Kang, Ellise Heiskell & Maarta Laiho, pin-ups by Sherri Rose & Hanie Mohd, Chloe Young (age 12), Alice Fox, and Brianne Drouhard, cover by Hanie Mohd
In the second issue of the groundbreaking series,we take a look at all sorts of ‘aliens’. From Blair Butler and Alicia Fernandez’s inspiring tale of the first female astronaut, to the oddity of finding out what your co-workers REALLY are in a fun and creepy piece by Joelle Sellner and Jean Kang, it’s a weird wide world out there. And down here.
I know I reblogged this before but it’s October now and THIS should be out already :) Go down to the comic store and get one!

Hanie Mohd’s variant cover to Womanthology: Space #2, out this October!
I didn’t realize this image is already released! Guess the cat’s out of the bag now :) I was told the theme is ‘alien’ and cute space cephalopod immediately came to mind.
